A beautifully mounted TV with cables dangling down the wall is like wearing a tuxedo with flip-flops. The cable management is what takes an installation from good to stunning.

Option 1: Surface Cable Raceways

Raceways are plastic channels that attach to the wall surface and conceal cables inside. They're fast, affordable, and don't require cutting into the wall — making them perfect for renters or anyone who wants a reversible solution. They can be painted to match your wall color.

Option 2: In-Wall Cable Routing

This is the "wow" option. Cables are fed through the inside of the wall, completely out of sight. The result is a TV that appears to float on the wall with zero visible wires. This requires cutting into drywall and is not permitted in all rental properties — but for homeowners, it's the gold standard.

  • Requires drywall work and patching around outlet holes
  • May need a low-voltage electrician for power if there's no in-wall outlet
  • Incompatible with walls that have insulation or fire blocking (in some cases)
  • Results in a completely clean, cable-free appearance

Renter Tip

If you're renting, always go with surface raceways. They cause no wall damage and can be removed cleanly when you move out.

What About the Power Cable?

HDMI and AV cables can legally be run through walls. Power (AC) cables cannot be run through drywall unless they're connected to a properly installed in-wall power kit or outlet. Our technicians handle this correctly and safely every time.
